The Rakoczi Foundation annually awards a minimum of twelve to a maximum of twenty scholarships to deserving students who are already part of the Rakoczi Family Circle –they have participated in the Students Without Boundaries program. The scholarships are for students who are Hungarian minorities living in Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine.
In order to be considered for such a scholarship, the student should be fully enrolled in University or school of higher education, and should already have some financial support from another source. These scholarships are meant to subsidize the student’s income.
The goal of the Foundation through the scholarships is to: assist and encourage as many students as possible to continue their education, not to fully cover the educational costs of any one student in particular.
To apply, the student must send:
1. Cover letter of introduction, detailing his/her financial situation,
2. Photocopies of enrollment into university studies and latest grades/marks.
3. Estimated budget of costs and what amount is sought.
4. Letter of support from educational institution and/or community leader supporting student's application
